An off-duty FBI agent accidentally shot a patron at a bar in Denver after a failed attempt at a dance move.
As you can see below, while the agent was attempting a backflip, his weapon escaped from his waistband holster and landed on the floor.
After trying to retrieve the gun, he accidentally fired a round that struck a person in the lower leg. The wound wasn’t fatal and the bystander is expected to survive, Denver police said.
Marika Putnam, Denver police community resource officer, confirmed that the agent wasn’t arrested but he might face criminal charges.
As of yet, the police aren’t sure if alcohol was a factor in the incident and an investigation is being conducted. The department is asking for any witnesses to the shooting to come forward.
The incident occurred at Mile High Spirits, a bar, distillery and live music venue near Coors Field.
