He only visited there a few weeks ago.
During a recent political rally in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, US president Donald Trump took a moment to talking glowingly about the “great respect” that he has for one of the United States’ closest allies, the U.K.
In fact, the U.K are such close allies that he couldn’t even remember what to call them.
“I have great respect for the U.K. ― United Kingdom ― great respect. People call it Britain. They call it Great Britain. They used to call it England ― different parts,” he said.

It appears that Trump was somewhat confused by the various differences that exist between the U.K., Great Britain and England ― hinting that the names can be used interchangeably and that one of the names is perhaps out of date
FYI, last time we checked, England is still called England. Yep, it’s still England.
In case you’re wondering, Great Britain still refers to the island that’s comprised of the countries England, Scotland and Wales. FYI, Trump also visited Scotland recently.
I have arrived in Scotland and will be at Trump Turnberry for two days of meetings, calls and hopefully, some golf – my primary form of exercise! The weather is beautiful, and this place is incredible! Tomorrow I go to Helsinki for a Monday meeting with Vladimir Putin.

The U.K. is still a sovereign state that’s comprised of four countries: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
The political climate hasn’t shifted overnight, in case you were wondering or thought along Trump’s line of ‘logic.’
This isn’t the first time that geography has let Trump down though. A few weeks ago, he stumbled and referred to Ireland as part of the U.K.
No biggie, it’s not like he’s the leader of the free world.
