Man to appear in court following murder of Amanda Carroll

He is due in court this morning.

A man is set to appear in court on Tuesday morning charged in relation to the murder of Amanda Carroll at an apartment in Homestead Court in Cabra.

The body of the 32-year-old mother of two was discovered shortly after 2.30pm on Sunday, 21 October by Dublin Fire Brigade, who alerted Gardaí.

A man in his 30s was arrested in relation to the investigation on Sunday and remained in Garda custody at Mountjoy Garda Station, but he is now scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday morning charged in relation to the incident.

The man, who knew Amanda Carroll, will appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice at 10.30am.

According to RTÉ, the post mortem revealed that she died from strangulation.
