The incident took place on Sunday afternoon.
Gardaí in Trim, County Meath are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that took place in Johnstown on Sunday 25 November.
The collision between two motorbikes and a 4×4 occurred on the Johnstown to Edenderry Road at approximately 1.30pm on Sunday afternoon.
The motorcyclists, both male, were involved in the crash, and one was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body has been taken to the mortuary at Navan Hospital.
The second motorcyclist has been taken to JCM Hospital in Blanchardstown with his injuries being described as serious.
The road in Johnstown is currently closed off to facilitate a forensic collision examination. Diversions have been put in place.
