The man was found outside his apartment in the early hours of Christmas morning.
Gardaí in County Mayo are investigating the sudden death of a 25-year-old man who was found on Quay Road in Newport in the early hours of Tuesday morning, 25 December.
Gardaí were called to the scene upon the discovery of the man’s body.
It is believed that the man suffered a tragic fall.
He was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene.
His body was removed to Mayo University Hospital in Castlebar where a post-mortem examination took place on Christmas Day afternoon.
