If you’re driving on the M50 in Dublin this morning, expect delays due a road traffic collision.
The Gardaí and Dublin Fire Brigade have confirmed that the M50, J15 Northbound at Carrickmines is currently closed.
Drivers are being told that: “All traffic currently enroute to this junction should exit earlier as traffic currently at this junction is being diverted back on to the on ramp”.
The disruption is due to a heavy fall of hailstones which caused several collisions. Diversions are in place.
AA Roadwatch have also added: “A section of the M50 is closed northbound at J15 Kilternan following a heavy hail shower. Traffic is being diverted. Southbound traffic is moving well.
Drivers that are commuting in these areas are being advised to monitor the social media accounts of Dublin Fire Brigade, the M50, and An Garda Síochana for further updates.
