The West Indies defeated Ireland by 70 runs in Group D at the ICC Twenty20 World Cup last night. Gary Wilson was Ireland’s top scorer with 17 runs as part of Ireland’s total of 68/10, but the hosts ran out comfortable winners in the end with Darren Sammy earning the man of the match award after taking 30 runs off 17 balls as the West Indies finished on a total of 138/9.
