Whether he is squeezed into white skinny jeans, wearing a chest bearing t-shirt or channelling Mick Jagger’s infamous strut on stage, Johnny Borrell is on a constant quest to appear not only rock n roll worthy but like rock royalty, writes Laura Anne Moody.
The front man to pop-rock band Razorlight, is pictured here at the Met Ball, with now ex-girlfriend Kirsten Dunst. This look may have worked, had the boots been left to peak out from under the trouser leg, rather than stuffing into them the wide legs. A statement still, but, it would have been less contrived and more occasion appropriate. Instead Borrell has managed to make these fantastic Cowboy boots and a classic formal black suit resemble wet gear in wellies or even worse ladies track suit bottoms tucked into UGG boots.
