Over a million people in California are expected to go without power as a result of the wildfires.
50,000 people have had to evacuate their homes as a result of wildfires in the state of California.
A state of emergency has since been declared in a number of counties, including Los Angeles.
Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E), one of California’s largest power companies, have said that over a million people in the state could be without power “for days”, according to CNN.
It is unclear what started the fire, but there are suspicions that it came as a result of a power line being damaged on Wednesday.
The California Fire Department have said that the state is experiencing “critical fire weather”, which is evident from the footage that has emerged from America.

These fires come less than 12 months after California experienced the deadliest wildfire in the history of the state, which resulted in a death toll of 88.
