Fulham manager Roy Hodgson has admitted that Damien Duff is an injury concern for the Europa League final with Atletico Madrid on 12 May.

The Ireland international was replaced at half-time in Fulham’s 1-0 defeat to Stoke City on Wednesday night after picking up a calf injury in the Cottagers final home game of the season.

Amidst fears that that the extent of Duff’s injury may be serious enough to rule him out of next Wednesday’s final in Hamburg it is envisaged that he will not be involved against Arsenal on Sunday in the final game of the season.

“He took a kick some time ago but we sincerely hope it’s not a serious knee injury. It will be checked tomorrow and we’ll see on Friday how that progresses” Hodgson clarified.
