McGahan makes seven changes

Munster coach Tony McGahan has made seven changes to his side for Sunday's Magners League match away to Cardiff. Keith Earls is the major absentee.

Keith Earls will not feature for Munster in Sunday’s Magners League clash with Cardiff due to a recurrence of his groin strain in a seven-change line-up named by coach Tony McGahan.

Earls had shaken off the original injury to score a try in the Heinekan Cup semi-final defeat to Biarritz last weekend.

Munster will travel to Cardiff with Lifeimi Mafi switching to the centre to join Jean de Villiers and Tom Gleeson coming in on the wing.

Meanwhile Munster have confirmed that two new players will join the squad next season. Worcester centre Sam Tuitupou will arrive, subject to a medical, with Leicester’s Johne Murphy.

Munster Squad v Cardiff: Scott Deasy, Denis Hurley, Lifeimi Mafi, Jean de Villiers, Tom Gleeson, Ronan O’Gara, Peter Stringer, Marcus Horan, Damien Varley, Tony Buckley, Donncha O’Callaghan, Billy Holland, Nick Williams, Niall Ronan, David Wallace.

Replacements: Mike Sherry, Dave Ryan, Alan Quinlan, James Coughlan, Tomas O’Leary, Paul Warwick, Danny Barnes.
