The wind and rain has not finished yet.
Four separate weather warnings are in place for Ireland tonight and into Friday morning as wet and windy weather remains over Ireland.
A status yellow rainfall warning remains in effect until 5am on Friday while a status yellow wind warning is also in effect for Dublin, Louth, Wexford, Wicklow, Meath, Cork, Kerry and Waterford until the same time.
A status yellow wind warning will come into effect for Carlow and Kilkenny at 10pm on Thursday and will expire again at midnight.
Meanwhile, a status yellow warning issued for Antrim, Armagh, Down and Tyrone on Wednesday remains in effect until 4am on Friday morning.
Storm Ellen swept across parts of the country on Wednesday night and Thursday morning causing disruption and flooding in many areas.
The storm also led to power outages with up to 194,000 premises left without power at one point.
ESB crews worked overnight and throughout the morning and power has now been restored to around 124,000 customers.
While the ESB said that most customers will have their power returned by tonight, there are some in the midlands who will be without power overnight.
