Leinster and Ireland second row Malcolm O’Kelly has announced that he will retire from competitive rugby at the end of the season.

O’Kelly has been an integral player for Leinster since he made his debut in February 1995 and is the province’s most capped player to date with 186 appearances.

Big ‘Mal’ has donned the Ireland jersey on 92 occasions and also toured New Zealand in 2005 with the British & Irish Lions.

O’Kelly has been included in the squad for Saturday’s Magners League semi-final with Munster at the RDS.
