Today’s Facebook group is one of JOE’s pet hates… “I hate people who clap when planes land.â€
Grrr. How annoying and embarrassing it is when a few idiotic passengers decide to burst into rapturous applause when touching down after a two hour flight to a sun resort destination.
It’s as if some Irish people have a social imbalance when it comes to public behaviour. The passengers who start off the clapping must be locked up indoors for at least six months and suddenly get the urge to acknowledge the fact that they’ve left their coop and have landed safely in another country.
Was it a doubt in their minds before take-off that the plane would crash?
