Chelsea look set to be led onto the field against Portsmouth in the FA Cup final this Saturday by captain John Terry after the defender declared himself “100 per cent fit†and ready to start.
There were fears that the defender had broken a metatarsal when he was rushed from training to hospital wearing a foot protector.
If he had broken a metatarsal then it was almost certain the former England captain would miss the World Cup as well as his club’s final game of the season against Pompey.
However, scans revealed that no bones were damaged and further examinations carried out suggested the injury was minor.
Terry, who took part in training earlier today said, “I’m fine and looking forward to the game.â€
