There are less than 90 people in hospital with Covid-19 throughout the country.

There have been 337 new cases of Covid-19 reported in Ireland.

The figures released from the Department of Health on Tuesday did not contain information regarding deaths related to Covid-19.

The Department of Health’s statement said that the number of daily cases may also change due to future data validation.

89 Covid-19 patients are hospitalised, of which 34 are in ICU.

The figures have been released as the Health Service Executive (HSE) has launched a new online booking system for Covid-19 tests in three test centres.

From Tuesday, 1 June, a person can book a Covid-19 test online at the Citywest Hotel and National Show Centre in Dublin, as well as at St Conal’s Hospital Campus in Donegal.

The HSE has said a person can only book a test online for themselves and can only book a time slot up to the end of the following day.

Meanwhile, the Covid-19 vaccine portal is set to open for those aged 40-44 as of Wednesday, beginning with 44-year-olds.

The registration will then begin for those aged 43 on Thursday and continue on in this pattern throughout the following days.
