There are 23 people in intensive care units with Covid-19 throughout the country.
There have been 398 new cases of Covid-19 reported in Ireland, as St James’s Hospital has reported having no patients with the virus.
The figures released from the Department of Health on Thursday did not contain information regarding deaths related to Covid-19.
The Department of Health’s statement said that the number of daily cases may also change due to future data validation.
70 Covid-19 patients are hospitalised, of which 23 are in ICU.

The figures come as the biggest hospital in the country St James’s has no inpatients with Covid-19 for the first time since March 2020.
On Twitter, Health Minister Stephen Donnelly said the announcement about the Dublin hospital was “really great news”.

Earlier on Thursday, Taoiseach Micheál Martin revealed that one million people could be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 in Ireland by the end of the day.
Speaking to reporters on Thursday, the Taoiseach hailed it as a “significant milestone”.
He said: “We hope by the end of the day, that a million people will have been fully vaccinated, which I think is a significant milestone. Over 3.1 million doses have been administered so far.”
Over 1.1 million doses have been administered through the vaccination centres, while about 1.4 million doses were delivered through GPs, who Martin said have “played an extraordinary role”.
