Barcelona are closing in on signing David Villa and are still hopeful of bringing Cesc Fabregas to the Nou Camp.
According to Barcelona vice-president, Rafael Yuste, the La Liga champions are set to land Villa from cash strapped Valencia. Speaking to Ona FM Yuste sounded confident the Catalonian club will secure Villa and Fabregas.
“That [transfer] of Villa is well advanced.
“By contrast, Arsenal must make a starting price for Cesc, which they have not yet done, but both want to come here,” Yuste said.
Arsenal midfielder, Fabregas, has been continually linked with a return to his former club at some point but that may not come this summer if Arsene Wenger is unwilling to let go of his star player.
The Spain international team-mates are currently preparing for the FIFA World Cup in South Africa next month.
