Gardai are investigating all circumstances surrounding the death.
Dublin City councillor and homeless charity campaigner Anthony Flynn has died suddenly on Wednesday.
Flynn’s body was found at a house in East Wall in Dublin on Wednesday afternoon.
Gardaí are investigating all the circumstances surrounding the death and a post-mortem is scheduled to take place over the coming days.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
Flynn founded the housing charity Inner City Helping Homeless in Dublin city centre, back in 2013.
In a statement on Wednesday, Dublin City Council said it was “saddened to hear of the untimely death” of Flynn.
Gardaí said on Wednesday: “Gardaí are investigating all the circumstances following the discovery of a body of a man in his 30s, at a property in Caledon Court, East Wall this afternoon, Wednesday 18 August.
“The body has been removed from the scene to the Mortuary in Whitehall where a post-mortem will take place in due course, the results of which will determine the course of the investigation. Investigations are ongoing.”
