Tom Kenny is a fresh injury doubt for Denis Walsh ahead of Cork’s up-coming Munster SHC tie against Tipperary after the midfield stalwart limped out of a club game with a hamstring injury.
The Grenagh man picked up the strain, which is believed to be serious, against St Michael’s at the weekend.
“Tom was visiting hospital today (Monday),†said county PRO Ger Lane. “There’s no definite news about whether he’ll be fit in time, but he doesn’t have much time.â€
Cork’s match against Tipperary is set to take place on Sunday week and Kenny will be in a race against time to prove his fitness ahead of the clash.
Kenny is not the only injury problem facing Walsh: “Michael Cussen is already likely to miss the game,†added Lane. “And Eoin Cadogan still hasn’t played or trained and must be a major doubt.â€
