It is becoming more apparent that Cesc Fabregas wants to leave Arsenal for a return to his boyhood club Barcelona this summer.

All the back pages have the news that Fabregas has reportedly told manager Arsene Wener that he wants to leave for the Nou Camp.

The Sun reckons Barca are willing to offer in the region of £30 million for the Spaniards services but the Gunners will likely be plugging for much more.

The La Liga winners are expected to capture Fabregas’ international team-mate, David Villa, from Valencia by the end of the week.

The Daily Star has reported that Joe Cole will be on the plane to South Africa with England for the World Cup after Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti “persuaded” Fabio Capello to include the Blues midfielder in his 23-man squad.

The story claims Cole is “a certainty to avoid the painful chop.” All shall be revealed on 1 June, when Capello announces his final squad.
