Antrim football is looking up following the return of Kevin McGourty to the county panel ahead of Sunday’s Ulster SFC quarter-final clash with Tyrone at Casement Park.

McGourty hasn’t featured for the Saffrons for two years but has made the u-turn after an invitation from manager Liam Bradley.

The star St. Gall’s attacker played a pivotal role in the capturing of the All-Ireland club title earlier this year and may be in line to replace Sean Burke, who has moved to the US.

Key forward Kevin Niblock is also hoping to feature following his recovery from a shoulder injury.

Niblock said: “I am still playing it by ear. I haven’t ruled myself out completely. But at the minute, the panel is that strong you couldn’t pick the team. If I don’t make it for the match, I would have confidence in anybody else that was playing.”
