Four injured after road crash causes vehicle to go on fire

One driver was seriously injured.

Four people were injured after a two-vehicle crash in Dublin caused a vehicle to go on fire.

The incident occurred on the Longmile Road in Dublin 12 in the early hours of Saturday morning (30 October).

A Garda spokesperson told JOE that following the two-vehicle collision, one vehicle “went on fire”.

The driver of the vehicle was rushed to St James’s Hospital in a serious condition.

Two passengers in the car, as well as the second driver, were also taken to hospital to be treated for their injuries.

Gardaí have said one lane of the road remains closed at this time with two lanes open to traffic.

Investigations into the crash are ongoing.
