Hope you were on for the last two days’ 21/1 and 25/1 winners. We’re going for three in a row with selections from racing and golf.

We’re going for WEBBOW in Haydock’s one-mile handicap at 3.25. Nigel Tinkler’s eight-year-old gelding produced some fine performances in top seven-furlong/one-mile handicaps at York and Goodwood last year off today’s mark of 90.

The impressive thing was the speed he produced in the last two furlongs of these races. Granted a reasonable pace, Webbow can run the last two furlongs of today’s race a couple of seconds quicker than any of his rivals.

This race will be ideal for him, as there are a number of prominent racers set to ensure a fast pace. Webbow should come on for a slightly unlucky first run this year at Chester, and he’s fancied to swoop late and land this prize.

In golf, it’s the first day of the Byron Nelson Championship in the US and the one we’re looking at, with the rest of the weekend in mind, is ANDRES ROMERO.

The Argentinian burst on the scene in 2007 and 2008 but having endured a bad time of it last year, he looks to be getting back to his best after finishing tied 10th at The Players Championship two weeks ago. He is 4/1 for another top 10 placing this week and that’ll do for us.

JOE’s Daily Double: Webbow (Haydock, 3.25 @ 7/2) & Andres Romero (Byron Nelson Championship, Top 10 finish @ 4/1)
