Former AFL player Martin Clarke has said he is fully focused on Down’s upcoming clash against Donegal on Sunday week, but added that he could not rule out a second stint Down Under.
The former Collingwood player  is expected to make his Championship debut for the Mourne men in the clash after proving one of the county’s most effective players during Down’s campaign to secure promotion to Division 1.
“When I left Collingwood, I had great relations there,” said Clarke. “It was a tough decision to come back, but I’m delighted I made that decision. But I suppose I couldn’t sit here and say I definitely wouldn’t go back at some stage.”
Clarke, who made it onto Collingwood’s senior team within a year of arriving in Australia, continued, “We never left the round ball behind, we’d always have one or two with us.â€
