Injured Cesc Fabregas has been named in Spain’s 23-member squad for World Cup 2010.
Vicente del Bosque also found places for Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes, forward Pedro Rodriguez and Athletic Bilbao’s 21-year-old central midfielder Javi Martinez.
However, there were no places for Villarreal’s Euro 2008 hero Marcos Senna or team-mate Santi Cazorla. Also omitted is previous favourite Dani Guiza.

The players cut from the provisional 30 were goalkeepers Diego Lopez (Villarreal), David De Gea (Atletico Madrid), defender Cesar Azpilicueta (Osasuna), midfielders Marcos Senna and Santi Cazorla (both Villarreal) and forwards Dani Guiza (Fenerbahce) and Alvaro Negredo (Sevilla).
