A paramedic is reported to have been hospitalised after being assaulted as he attended a call-out in Donegal.
In a statement to JOE, Gardaí said an assault occurred on Kinnear Lane in Letterkenny at around 9am on Monday (21 March).
According to Donegal Daily, the paramedic was attending the scene of an incident when he was set upon by a man.
The medic is said to have received facial injuries and a suspected broken wrist during the assault.
Gardaí confirmed that following the incident one man was conveyed to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
They also said a man in his 20s was later arrested in relation to the assault.
He has since been released pending court summonses.
