Woman in her 70s dies after two-vehicle crash in Meath

The collision involved a car and a van.

A woman has died following a road crash in Meath on Friday (8 April).

The collision, involving a car and a van, occurred on the N2 at Balrath Cross at around 3.35pm.

The driver of the car, a woman in her 70s, was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Her body has since been taken to the mortuary at Navan Hospital where a post-mortem will be conducted.

No other injuries have been reported.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the crash to come forward.

Any road users with video footage, including dashcam footage, are asked to make it available to Gardaí.
