A man has died and a woman is seriously injured following a road crash in Donegal on Monday (2 May).
The collision involved two vehicles and occurred on the Mountain Road between Buncrana and Carndonagh at around 10.50pm.
The driver of one vehicle, a man in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body has been taken to the mortuary at Letterkenny University Hospital.
The driver and passenger of the second vehicle were also taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
The condition of the passenger, a woman in her 30s, has been described as “serious”.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the crash to come forward and for those with camera footage, including dashcam footage, to make it available to them.
