New Zealand’s injury list has been extended ahead of the summer Test against Ireland with the news that Isaia Toeava will be out of action for up to six months.

Since his debut in 2005 Toeava has made 26 appearances for the All Blacks and will undoubtedly be missed by coach Graham Henry as an option at centre where he is most comfortable.

A hip injury will rule Toeava out for the home Test against the touring Ireland squad and the outlook is not at an optimum level for Henry who must prepare without a number of established players.

Sitiveni Sivivatu, locks Ali Williams and Jason Eaton, back Mike Delany and hooker Andrew Hore will not feature for the All Blacks due to injuries, while Prop Tony Woodcock and outside centre Richard Kahui face an uphill struggle to be fit in time for the visit of Ireland.

Ireland take on the All Blacks in New Plymouth, New Zealand on 12 June.
