The discovery was made following an extensive search.
The body of a man in his 60s has been discovered in a lake in Roscommon.
In a statement to JOE, a Garda spokesperson said the discovery was made on Wednesday (25 May) and occurred after an extensive search.
The lake is located in the Loughglynn area of Roscommon.
The Garda spokesperson said a post-mortem will be conducted at a later date.
Inquiries into the discovery by Gardaí are ongoing.
