Gardaí are appealing for witnesses.
A man is in critical condition after a road crash in Galway city on Wednesday (8 June).
At around 10am, Gardaí were alerted following a collision involving a truck and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, a man in his 70s, was taken from the scene to University Hospital Galway.
A Garda spokesperson has said in a statement that the man’s condition is understood to be critical.
Gardaí in Galway are now appealing for witnesses to the crash to come forward and for those with camera footage, including dashcam footage, to make it available to them.
