Man in his 40s seriously injured after assault in Dublin

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to the serious assault to come forward.

A man has been hospitalised following a serious assault in Dublin on Thursday (13 October).

In a statement to JOE, a Garda spokesperson said the incident occurred at around 10.30am in the Main Street area of Finglas in Dublin 11.

They also stated that a man in his early 40s was taken to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital with “serious injuries”.

No arrests have been made at this stage of the ongoing investigation, with Gardaí now appealing for any witnesses to the incident to come forward.

Any road users or pedestrians who may have camera footage, including dashcam footage, and were travelling in the Main Street area of Finglas between 10am and 11am on Thursday are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
