Here at JOE we believe two staples of fashion protocol should always be adhered to – individuality and killer quality. Cult Brazilian flip-flop brand Havaianas are looking to make a big splash this summer with the launch of their “Make Your Own Havaianas†booth at BT2 Grafton Street, Dublin.
Previously only available in London, the service will allow Havaianitos to personalise their own pair at the onsite customising booth. Each booth will have over 100 colour combinations of soles and straps to choose from, with even the option to decorate your selection from a range of pins from hearts to fruits, animals and flags.
In all there are over 900 potential combinations of straps, soles, pins & crystals (hmm…) to reflect your personal style. With the sun periodically giving a taste of the weeks ahead there’s no better time to slip on a pair of your own unique, ridiculously comfy summer must-haves.
With celebrity fans of the Brazilian footwear including David Beckham, it’s easy to believe the much-sought after sandals have sprung up overnight. In actuality, the cult favourites have been around in Brazil nearly 50 years, with the world only recently tuning into the trendy, inexpensive footwear.
