Australian wicketkeeper Brad Haddin will miss the ODI match against Ireland in Clontarf on 17 June.
Haddin has been ruled out with tennis elbow according to Cricket Australia physiotherapist Alex Kountouris.
“Brad has been struggling with tendon elbow pain (tennis elbow) while batting during the ICC Twenty20 World Cup,†Kountouris said.
“As with most tendon injuries, time is required to allow the pain to settle and gradually increase the tendon load.
“As such, Brad will not be taking part in the ODI match against Ireland.â€
There is a possibility, in Kountouris’ opinion, that Haddin will be available for the Twenty20 internationals and Test matches against Pakistan in England.
Haddin has been replaced in the squad by Tasmanian wicketkeeper Tim Paine.
