Rafael Nadal dismissed the challenge of Robin Soderling in the French Open final on Sunday.
Nadal had bowed out to the Swede 12 months ago but that remains the only match he has lost at Roland Garros and he gained his vengeance in style.
The brilliant Spaniard was never threatened en route to a 6-4 6-2 6-4 victory for his fifth French Open title.
Soderling had shocked world number one Roger Federer on his way to the decider but had no answer to Nadal in the showpiece.
