It’s a sketchy enough programme of events this Tuesday so we’re sticking to racing with two picks from Salisbury.

With Hindsight is the favourite in the opening event for two-year-olds but Clive Cox’s colt could be under-priced against a big field of juveniles.

He ran an encouraging third on debut but two-year-olds are notoriously unreliable on their second run so it never really pays to take short prices. On top of that, the form of that race has failed to really work out, with the second a beaten favourite twice since.

Instead, focus on Peter Chapple-Hyam’s TITUS TWO. Chapple-Hyam has saddled two juvenile winners from seven runners this season so he could be the value in an open-looking contest.

Later in the afternoon we’re going for CHICA WHOPA, who makes her first start for Richard Hannon in the 3.55.

Chica Whopa is a nicely-bred three-year-old filly who showed quite useful form in Ireland last year in decent maidens at the Curragh and Leopardstown. Those races were on soft ground and in common with virtually all progeny of Oasis Dream, improvement would be expected on a quicker surface.

Market leaders Give Your Verdict and Tenessee are bred to be better over further than seven furlongs and Chica Whopa just might have too much speed for them today.
