Ireland coach Declan Kidney has named an entirely new starting line-up for Friday’s tour match against New Zealand Maori in Rotorua.
Leicester full back Geordan Murphy will captain the side for the first time in a game for which no caps will be handed out.
None of the 15 who started the humbling 66-28 defeat to the All Blacks last Saturday are retained, with Rhys Ruddock – who travelled out to New Zealand this week as a replacement for injured Connacht captain John Muldoon – fast-tracked into the team.
Shane Horgan and Johne Murphy man the wings with Gavin Duffy and Paddy Wallace linking up in the centre and Leinster duo Eoin Reddan and Jonathan Sexton paired at half-back.
In the pack, Marcus Horan adds his experience to the front row alongside John Fogarty, who won his first cap as a replacement against the All Blacks last weekend, and Tom Court.
Dan Tuohy, one of the few success stories last Saturday on his debut, and Ed O’Donoghue form the second row partnership with Ruddock, Niall Ronan and Chris Henry in the back row.
