A sound engineer has claimed to have developed a downloadable audio clip which completely nullifies the noise from vuvuzelas.
The African horns have sold by the million and have been a constant accompaniment to World Cup games so far.
Clemence Schlieweis, the developer of the ‘anti-vuvuzela filter’, claims it cancels out the buzzing horns when downloaded and played from a computer next to a TV.
According to expressbuzz.com, the German developer said, “I used it to watch Germany play Australia on Sunday evening and it was perfect. I only launched the website that morning but I’ve already had dozens of orders.”
The filter, which can be downloaded for £2.45, looks likely to be the only means through which fans can avoid the sound of the vuvuzelas after Fifa president Sepp Blatter ruled out having them banned from stadia during the tournament.
