Fifa have defended the intervention of a press officer during a press conference with North Korean manager Kim Jong Hun this week.
A journalist was silenced after asking a question about the coverage of North Korea’s game against Brazil in their homeland.
Fifa was later accused of censorship but a spokesperson for the world governing body insisted the press officer had taken the correct course of action.
“We are here to talk about football not politics,” he said. “What we are trying to do is facilitate a relationship between the teams and the media, and the media officer did what he felt was right to achieve that.â€
