Derry’s former All-Star full back Kevin McCloy has withdrawn from the county panel for the remainder of their All-Ireland campaign.
McCloy, 31, was named on the All-Star team in 2007, when he helped the Oak Leaf county to the All-Ireland quarter-finals.
However, he has struggled with injuries this year and has chosen to withdraw from Damien Cassidy’s panel ahead of the All-Ireland qualifier series.
Derry travel to Carlow for the first round of the All-Ireland qualifier series on Saturday evening, with the game throwing in at Dr Cullen Park at 5pm.
