‘Braveheart’ star Mel Gibson has reportedly been caught once again spewing vile and racist comments, this time directed at his ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva.
Oscar-winning actor and director Gibson, 54, who filed a restraining order against his baby-mother Grigorieva, 40, repeatedly referred to his ex as her a “whore†and “cuntâ€, in calls taped by Oksana herself
“You’re an embarrassment to me,†Gibson has been quoted as telling Grigorieva. “You look like a f***ing pig in heat, and if you get raped by a pack of n***ers, it will be your fault,†he is said to have told her.
Gibson allegedly continued to threaten Oksana, stating: “I am going to come and burn the f**king house down. How dare you act like such a bitch when I have been so f**king nice?†he told her.
The reported allegations are a further setback in Gibson’s career, as he has tried to rehabilitate his image in the aftermath of his 2006 drink-driving arrest, where he made anti-Semetic remarks and referred to an female police officer as “sugar titsâ€.
Following very public apologies and rehab stints, Gibson received plaudits for his directional turn in 2006’s Apocalypto and moved to the front of the camera for his first starring role in eight years, this year’s Edge of Darkness. His forthcoming Jodie Foster-directed 2011 indie feature The Beaver is likely to be severely hampered from the forthcoming fallout of Mel’s alleged comments.
The star’s ex Grigoerieva has stated that she taped the rants while in fear for her life, though it may be a power-play in the ongoing custody battle for the former couple’s nine-month-old daughter Lucia.
The tape were leaked to US gossip site Radar Online, with the website’s source claiming the tape’s had been submitted to the judge in the custody battle and were under seal. Gibson’s rep has told Radar he could not confirm the credibility or accuracy of the tapes.
