Dunga has admitted that he will be stepping down as manager of Brazil following his side’s World Cup exit at the hands of Holland on Friday.

The 1994 World Cup-winning captain watched his side, who led 1-0 at the break, capitulate in the second half of the quarter-final at Port Elizabeth.

And the 46-year-old, who took charge in late 2006, admits that his time is up.

“We knew when I started that I would be here for four years,” he said. “It’s sad, it’s difficult, nobody prepares to lose.”
