Germany manager Joachim Loew believes all of his players will be fit to face Spain in Germany’s World Cup semi-final in Durban.
There had been concerns about naturalised Brazilian striker Cacau and centre midfielder Sami Khedira, but they should both be fit and available for Wendesday’s match.
“We had a lot of medical work to do after the Argentina game but all the players will be fit for Wednesday, although there’s still a doubt over Cacau,†Loew said at a press conference.
“For the moment Khedira can train, even if it’s a special programme.
“The mood is good but there’s no euphoria,” he added, “The team wasn’t overjoyed after the win against Argentina, we’re still aware of what we need to do, we’re focused.”
The only German who will definitely miss the game is Thomas Muller, who will be suspended after picking up a yellow card in Germany’s 4-0 humiliation of Argentina on Saturday.
