“Guards of honour as adoring fans flock to see happy Tiger,†headlines the Irish Independent.
“Celtic Tiger: Woods proves his pulling power in Adare,†reads the Irish Times.
Tiger Woods is in town, well, Adare village in Co Limerick to be precise.
Over 40,000 fans showed up at the JP McManus Invitational Pro-Am to catch a glimpse of the first billionaire sportsman.
The Indo compares the quaint Irish village with Hollywood as Catherine Zeta Jones went shopping in local boutiques while hubby Michael Douglas played golf with Charlie McCreevy.
Ok, so you wouldn’t expect to see Charlie McCreevy in LA but Samuel L Jackson, Hugh Grant and many other stars, both homegrown and from abroad, brought glamour to Adare.
The picture above shows Tiger with Irish businessman Dermot Desmond during the first round of the tournament.
