Tales from the Tabs
Lindsay Lohan sobbed uncontrollably as she was sentenced to three months in jail last night.
The Mean Girls star, 24, violated her probation for a 2007 drink-driving charge by repeatedly missing alcohol education classes, the Sun reports.
She insisted she did not realise she was breaking the order and that her work schedule had stopped her attending regularly.
Lohan told Beverly Hills Supreme Court Judge Marsha Revel: “I’m not taking this as a joke. It’s my life and my career, something I have worked for my entire life.
“I have tried to do the best I can. I really did think I was doing what I was supposed to do, and I mean it with all my heart.”
Judge Revel said: “I couldn’t have been more clear, and it wasn’t done. It is like someone who doesn’t think it’s cheating unless she gets caught.”
Lohan will start her sentence on July 20.
