Meath are waiting on the fitness of captain Nigel Crawford ahead of Sunday’s Leinster football final against neighbours Louth at Croke Park.
Crawford has missed his side’s last three games, the draw and replay against Laois and the landslide win over Dublin two weeks ago, with a back injury.
However, the Dunboyne clubman has returned to training in recent weeks and could be available for selection for Sunday’s novel decider.
However, it is thought to be unlikely that he will be included in Eamonn O’Brien’s starting XV for the game, with Brian Meade and Mark Ward expected to take on Louth’s star pairing of Brian White and Paddy Keenan at GAA HQ.
