Paul the Octopus has predicted a Spanish victory in Sunday’s World Cup final.
The Dorset born Cephalopod, who now resides in the Sea Life Aquarium in Oberhausen, currently has a 100% prediction record in the World Cup.
Paul was given a choice between food in two plastic boxes, one containing the Spanish flag, one containing the Dutch flag. Like the semi-final, he chose Spain.
It was the first time Paul had predicted the result of a match that didn’t involve his adopted country Germany.
He also predicted that Germany will defeat Uruguay in the third-place play-off.
