12/07 The End of the Day

Home time. Time to figure out how to fill the World Cup and Oxegen voids.

JOE

Pic of the Day (above)

Participants run on 12 July, 2010 in front of Victoriano del Rio fighting bulls on the first San Fermin Festival bull run in Pamplona, northern Spain. Mood Swingometer

Today JOE has been feeling…despondent.

We’re feeling like children that have just had their sweets taken from them here in JOE Towers today. The World Cup is over and out, and Oxegen has flashed by in the blink of an eye.

To ease our emotions, and yours, we’ve compiled Oxegen 2010 in pictures for some leisurely browsing. Enjoy.

Tonight’s Telly

Pick of the night: Shameless, E4, 11.00pm.

Monica feels unwanted when Frank rejects her advances, so she attends a hypnotist’s show at the Jockey in the hope of regaining her sex appeal. Carl’s new job leads to an intimate encounter, but after discovering he has an STI, he has to track down all his previous partners. Paddy sets out to catch the people who desecrated Fergal’s grave and Micky’s love life hits a stumbling block.

Movie pick: Scarface, RTE One, 11.45pm.

Does this classic need a summary? If, for some bizarre reason, you haven’t seen this ganster thriller with Al Pacino, Michelle Pfeiffer and Robert Loggia it’s strongly advised you scrap your bedtime.

Live Like JOE
