The Meath footballers have unanimously voted against offering a replay of the Leinster SFC final to Louth.

The Leinster final ended in controversy last Sunday after Joe Sheridan’s late goal was awarded by referee Martin Sludden, despite the fact Sheridan illegally carried the ball across the goal line.

Sludden has since admitted his mistake in his match report and apologised for awarding the goal.

An official announcement is expected from the Meath County Board tonight in relation to the matter.
